Day 2

Table Mountain and a Free Afternoon

Top of Table Mountain is a must for any wine lover visiting the Cape. You’ll take the scenic cable car to the summit, where breathtaking panoramic views stretch across Cape Town’s coastline, the entire Cape Colony and its celebrated wine lands reaching toward distant mountains. From this elevated vantage point, the plateau, slopes, and varied terrain come into focus, offering the clearest way to understand how geography, climate and ocean influence shape South Africa’s wines.

To celebrate the moment, you’ll pop a bottle of South African MCC (Méthode Cap Classique) at the summit, enjoying fine bubbles while overlooking the landscapes that give these wines their character. More than a scenic highlight, Table Mountain provides a deeper connection between land and glass, making it an essential introduction to the Cape’s wine culture. The afternoon continues with exciting options to explore further and let the magic of the Cape unfold.

The below activities are to guests own account.

Quad bike through the stunning white sand dunes, hike to the top of Lion’s Head for more epic views, soar above the city with a paragliding experience from Signal Hill, or dive into the deep with a heart-pounding shark cage dive. If that’s not enough, take a thrilling helicopter ride over the city or enjoy some downtime shopping at the V&A Waterfront, where the energy never stops. A sundowner boat cruise to catch one of the most incredible sunsets, watching Cape Town glow beneath the Atlantic Ocean. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the day.

Day 3

The Cape Peninsula

A visit to Cape Point and the Cape Peninsula is essential for understanding how wine first arrived in Africa and why it thrives here. Traveling along this dramatic coastline, you’ll pass the famous African penguin colony at the Boulder's beach, Cape of good hope and the Cape point, a reminder of the cooling ocean breezes that shape the region’s vineyards. These winds moderate temperatures, slow ripening, and help preserve bright acidity, producing crisp Sauvignon Blanc, aromatic Chenin Blanc and elegant Chardonnay, as well as balanced reds like Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Along the Peninsula, we’ll explore how early Dutch settlers recognized the area’s strategic trade routes, diverse soils, and temperate climate as ideal for viticulture.

The journey concludes at Groot Constantia, the Cape’s oldest wine estate, founded in 1685. Walk the historic vineyards and enjoy a premium tasting, connecting centuries of heritage and terroir directly in the glass.

After breakfast, we will transfer to Stellenbosch to visit one of South Africa’s iconic wine estates, renowned for its sparkling wines and exceptional reds and whites. Next, we’ll explore Franschhoek’s wine tram, where you’ll enjoy a library tasting of celebrated vintages, learning how age and terroir shape the wines. Board the charming open-air tram for a scenic tour of top wineries, sampling crisp Sauvignon Blancs, rich Shiraz, and more while taking in stunning vineyard views and the Drakenstein Mountains. Knowledgeable guides will share insights into the region’s winemaking philosophy. This concludes our full day wine tour before returning to the hotel.
